FASHION MACHINE

Fashion Machine examines the systems that drive contemporary clothing consumption. Cascades of threads and looping forms evoke the movement of materials through production, purchase and disposal and renewal. Contrasting entangled waste streams with circular pathways of repair, reuse and recycling, the work reflects on the environmental cost of fast fashion and the possibility of more regenerative relationships with the things we wear.
