Schiaparelli Ascendant: The Weight of Ornament transforms a $1 op-shop suit through the accumulation of reclaimed and found materials. Inspired by the disruptive legacy of Elsa Schiaparelli, the work reimagines an everyday garment as a form that oscillates between adornment, armour and artefact. The result occupies a space between garment and sculpture, celebrating transformation while reflecting on the shifting boundaries of contemporary identity.
